Care Choices offers a host of events for social care professionals, including care sector awards and health and social care conferences.

The Transition Event 2017

The Transition Event is an annual, one day conference and exhibition for social care professionals working with young disabled adults, and the parents of those adults with disabilities.

The event focuses on the transition from children’s to adults’ services and explores hot topics such as:

  • Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Navigating adult services
  • Employment for disabled adults
  • Housing and education for people with disabilities

Care Choices runs two Transition Events: The Transition Event Midlands and The Transition Event East.

Midlands – 18th May 2017, Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport

Bloody Awesome Parents (BAPS) Awards

The BAPS blogging awards have been created in association with Bringing Us Together to celebrate SEND bloggers and recognise their valuable contribution to raising awareness of disabilities and additional needs.

The SEND blogging awards are the only awards of their kind and will be hosted for the first time in May 2017.

CMM Insight 2018

Learning Disability Services: Current Developments and Future Opportunities

CMM Insight is an established and recognised health and social care conference for care professionals. It is an annual national event with an additional three regionalised care conferences held over the course of the year in Lancashire, Berkshire and Dorset.

The national learning disability and mental health conference explores difficulties facing the care sector, including:

Hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen, the 3rd Sector Care Awards celebrate the excellence of the not-for-profit social care sector. This event runs annually to showcase the innovation in social care that is driven by the third sector.
