Healthwatch Shropshire gives people a powerful voice locally and nationally. It gathers the views and experiences of patients, carers, and the general public about health and social care services. It then makes reports and recommendations to providers and commissioners based on the information it has received. The aim is to ensure patients and the public are at the heart of decisions about service delivery, improvement and change.
Healthwatch Shropshire also provides an independent NHS Complaints Advocacy Service. Although most people using the health service are happy with their care and treatment, things can sometimes go wrong. If you are not satisfied with the service you have experienced from a hospital, doctor, dentist, local surgery or other NHS provider, you are entitled to complain about it. Healthwatch Shropshire can provide support and advice for those people wishing to make a formal complaint.
