Residential care

Surrey County Council in-house services offer a range of accommodation-based support options for people in Surrey. We currently have four residential care homes for older people that provide a range of services including short-term breaks (respite), day care, reablement, dementia support and long-term residential care. A decision has been taken to close these homes and work with residents and their families to find alternative accommodation and services. Two of these homes will close during 2016.

There are six residential care homes operated by the council for people with learning disabilities (two in partnership with Kingston and Wimbledon YMCA). They offer short-term breaks (respite), outreach support and long-term residential care. We promote independence and involvement in the community and empower people to live a meaningful and satisfied life. All of our services are listed in this directory, alongside other residential care homes for people with learning disabilities.
