Mental Health Services

Bromley Council and Oxleas NHS Trust provide an integrated service for people who have serious mental ill health and their carers. Services are provided through the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) who are based in Penge, Orpington and Bromley. The teams aim to treat mental illness and provide support to enable service users to live independently in the community.

Referrals to the CMHT are usually via your GP who will refer you if they consider that you have an enduring mental illness or an acute mental ill health problem, which requires specialist support. For current users of the mental ill health services in the Borough, advice and information are available from: Emergency help – Bromley Crisis Line on 0845 608 0523.

Adult mental health services – During normal working hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) you can telephone the Liaison and Intake Team on 020 8466 2500.
