Norfolk library and information service
Your local library is free to join and you can use any Norfolk library to borrow and access a wonderful range of books, large print books, eBooks, eAudio Books and eMagazines, CDs, DVDs and the internet.
We have a mobile library service which has approximately 2,000 stops across the county. All mobile library vans are equipped with a lift for people with mobility problems and wheelchair users.
There is also a Home Library Service, provided in association with the Royal Voluntary Service which brings books to people who are unable to get to their local library. If your mobility is severely restricted due to ill health or a disability, or you are a full time carer without anyone to visit the library for you, the Home Library Service is designed especially for you. Please telephone: 01603 397998 or email: NorfolkHLS@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
Staff in all our libraries will be able to give you more information on the range of services we provide, such as:
- How to use the online library service from home – to reserve and renew books and access eBooks, eAudio Books and eMagazines.
- Information about activities and events in libraries.
- Reminiscence Kits & Packs, these can be borrowed from the library and are available on a number of themes such as Childhood, 1960s and Clothes. Kits & Packs contain a variety of multi-sensory triggers and can be used to share memories and communicate.
