Personalising Adult Social Care
In the traditional system of social care, professionals made decisions about the support people could have and who would provide it. As a result, people often had little or no choice about the support they received. The central government directive ‘Putting People First’ has changed the way communities, organisations and individuals work to support people. It recognises that people want better quality services that are personal to them, and more control over decisions that affect them.
