HOLMEWOOD care home residents enjoyed a reptilian encounter during a visit from animal handling firm ZooLab.
Elderly residents at the home, on Barnfield Close, Chesterfield, got the opportunity to meet, handle and pet snakes, lizards and even a giant tarantula.
Kathleen Richardson, home manager at Holmewood, operated by Hill Care Group, said: “Seeing the snakes and lizards was a thrill for everyone at the home – including staff.
“We’d like to thank ZooLab for visiting and bringing their scaly friends with them. It’s encounter we’re not likely to forget anytime soon!”
