Residential Care Homes
There are two types of residential home:
Care homes (personal care only)
If you need care on a 24 hour basis but you have no nursing needs, subject to a needs assessment, a care home offering only personal care may be the best option. Personal care includes bathing, feeding, dressing and help with moving.
Care homes with nursing
Traditionally called a nursing home, this kind of home is suitable for those needing nursing care, where it will be delivered by qualified nursing staff alongside care workers. Nurses are on duty around the clock.
