Residents of Dene Holm Residential Home in Northfleet enjoyed a spot of flower arranging with a twist, incorporating potpourri into their beautiful bouquets.
Being in the care of the Dene Holm Road residential, a rainy morning doesn’t have to mean a boring morning, as staff put on activities for residents. On this occasion, flower arranging with a twist.
The creative residents gathered in the dining room and worked together to build their very own floral displays in jars, using a variety of lovely flowers and pot pourri, whilst sipping cups of tea and chatting with one another. The residents were delighted with the results and have displayed their jars in their rooms.
Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “We are very lucky to have some brilliant activity coordinators here at Dene Holm, they are dedicated to providing varied activities for residents on a daily basis, as well as lots of fun outings.
“The residents really enjoyed the flower arranging with the potpourri, it was a bit different to a normal flower arranging activity and they were pleased to be able to display them in their rooms.”
