Advocates can give advice, support and information to people of any age, helping them to voice their concerns and guiding them through difficult or challenging times. Consider using the services of an advocate if you feel unsure or concerned when you are faced with making an important decision about your care choices.

There is a joint referral system in place in Gloucestershire supported by a freephone number: 0800 644 6448. This number is also used in South Gloucestershire. Advocacy Resources Exchange (ARX) is an organisation that provides information and advice about advocacy.
