Local charity Brunelcare is proudly celebrating and sharing the success of one their care teams this month!
The Palliative Care Team, based at Brunelcare’s Robinson House care home scooped the specialist care award for ‘Palliative Care’ at the Care and Support West Awards 2017 held on 14th October at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium.
The purpose of this award event was to celebrate the work of individual employees and organisations who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in the social and health care sector through their passion for caring.
The strength of Brunelcare’s nomination and resulting award was based on Robinson House Palliative Care Team’s commendation within Gold Standards Framework, a national Quality Hallmark award for end of life care. To undertake the framework is a real commitment to providing excellence and creating a culture where excellence is the norm.
Jan Little, Director of Care Homes for Brunelcare says:
“I am absolutely delighted for Joy White and the team at Robinson House for winning this award. They work incredibly hard to ensure they provide the very best care for people who are coming to the end of their life, so it is wonderful that they have been recognised for the excellent service they provide.”
Kevin Fairman, CEO Brunelcare adds:
“We are immensely proud of all of our people and our Palliative Care Team that has won this award. Our employees provide this vital service to people and their families on a day-to-day basis, so it’s very pleasing to see them to be recognised in this way by Care and Support South West.”
