We provide a break and companionship for people who are frail or have physical or mental disabilities or learning difficulties. This also provides a break for carers, whom we support with regular feed back and advice on the person attending and provide comfort when needed. We host monthly Carers’ Coffee Mornings in which we will listen to carers’ concerns and try and recommend solutions to their problems or offer to explore further information.
The premises comprise a large family sized bungalow with several rooms and a large conservatory and secluded garden, providing ample space to chose among our range of activities and groups you may wish to join.
Our activities include crafts, painting, drawing, sewing, playing cards, board games, laying puzzles, word games, quizzes, conversation, parlour games, exercises or discussion on topical issues or exchange reminiscences. Alternatively you may simply wish to relax listening to music, watching television or reading books, magazines or newspapers provided.
We provide a two course home cooked lunch and refreshments throughout the day including afternoon tea with home made cakes. We cater for special diets and provide assistance with meals as required. Assisted bathing, chiropody and hairdressing is also provided upon request, for which there is a separate charge.
Although we don’t provide our own transport we can assist with arranging transport.
We provide a high level of care. All our staff are fully trained in all aspects of care and we ensure that we have at least one carer for every three attendees, hence ensuring that full personal care is provided and 2 to 1 care when needed. Our staff are always cheerful ensuring a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
We are accredited by Norfolk County Council and have achieved their highest quality rating. We are also a Trusted Trader Member of Norfolk County Council.
