CORONAVIRUS and 1st Homecare

Throughout these unprecedented times, it has still been very much ‘business as usual’ for all of us at 1st Homecare, as carers continue to deliver their usual care support and our offices remain open throughout to deal with all day to day care queries.

The wellbeing and safety of both our clients and our staff is paramount. We have developed robust policies and procedures to safeguard our clients and protect our staff during the pandemic and we are fully compliant with government guidelines regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment so care staff will be wearing masks, aprons and gloves for all visits.

We continue to provide full face to face assessments of care needs prior to the start of the service and at times when individual care packages need to be reviewed or ‘fine-tuned’.

We are not aware of any clients who have contracted COVID whilst under our care.  All our staff are fully conversant with government guidelines regarding when to self-isolate and to support them to do so, we pay them in full during such periods so that they do not feel compelled to earn income when they should be self-isolating.
