Coronavirus Info

Churchfields, rated Outstanding by the CQC in March 2020, is situated at the heart of the beautiful village of Cassington in West Oxfordshire, close to Eynsham and Witney, and is welcoming new residents.

The family-owned home offers residential, dementia and nursing care for older people, provided in a friendly, warm and loving environment.

Churchfields is centred on its residents, but there are many who contribute to making life at the home so unique; and family, friends and the local community are included in daily life wherever possible.

Caring throughout the pandemic

During the pandemic, Churchfields is open and welcoming new residents. We have clear policies and procedures in place to do this safely, and most importantly a highly competent, well trained and well-supported care team. Moreover, our fabulous staff are doing an excellent job every day. They keep residents engaged, ensuring they do the things they love, as well as introducing more innovative ways to keep residents connected with their family members. We are also working closely with our local health partners, and continue to support families who are looking for care for a loved one.

With further lockdown restrictions expected across the UK, the health and wellbeing of our residents and families remain our top priority. We have installed a visitor centre to ensure family visits can continue safely throughout the winter period.

The care team

Strong leadership and investment in excellent training are at the heart of the high-quality care on offer at Churchfields. All our staff members are carefully selected for their sense of compassion, commitment and desire to work as part of a professional care team. The care team is led by Steph Ely and all staff are well trained and supported to achieve national qualifications. The home also has a comprehensive in-house training programme. Staff are experienced to deal with all aspects of care in the elderly, including physical infirmity and psychological needs.

With high staffing levels at all times, Churchfields offers a safe, comfortable and happy environment; whilst ensuring an excellent level of personal care that is carried out with particular attention to privacy and dignity.

Both respite and convalescence care are offered, as well as long-term care.
