Crossroads Care Gloucester has been charitably supporting Carers in Gloucestershire since 1971. Crossroads Care specialise in providing a range of services that recognise and respond to the individual needs of Carers and their loved ones for whom they care for.

This offers the Carer peace of mind knowing that the person they care for is well cared for by our service. In turn, our service aims to improve the Carers own health and well being by giving them time to take a break away from caring. Our 24/7 services include Care at Home – a bespoke service tailored to your need which may include preparing meals, personal care or assistance with medication or accessing GP appointments, Out and About, supporting you to access the local community and make social contacts or Azalea Day Clubs – operating across the county, the clubs offer enriching opportunities for adults, aiming to reduce loneliness, making friendships and enjoying a range of enjoyable activities and hot lunch.

We at Crossroads Care Gloucester are passionate about providing a truly personal approach and a commitment to quality. We work closely with our Carers, clients and their friends and family to ensure the highest quality service, tailored for your needs. To ensure we provide the highest quality care and support to people we carefully select our Carer Support Workers who share our values and commitment to supporting Carers and their loved ones. All our staff undergo an enhanced DBS check and full induction training and shadowing program before commencing work.

I have had a really positive introduction to work as a care support worker for Crossroads Care Gloucestershire. Those that I shadowed during my training were kind and professional and I am proud to be joining their team. The welfare of the staff seems to be a top priority for the management team which has made me feel confident and supported and has enabled me to focus on prioritising our service users.

I heard about Crossroads Care Gloucestershire from a carer support worker who had arrived to take a mutual client on an outing. At the time I was looking to step down from a management role and I was very interested in the services Crossroads were offering. I joined the team a few weeks later, in the Summer of 2017, primarily assisting vulnerable people to access the local community and supporting family carers to have a much needed respite break. It’s so rewarding to see the relief on a carer’s face when you arrive to take over the care of their loved one. Also to participate in the enjoyment of supporting someone to get out and about; to a favourite shop, the park, a café … Having had the opportunity to progress, I am now back in a senior role and my hands-on experience and knowledge of our clients and family carers has provided a valuable foundation for my current position.

I started working for Crossroads care this October and I have settled in tremendously well. Everyone is so kind, caring and make you feel welcome. Crossroads care in central and east Gloucestershire are a fantastic, reliable and approachable company to work for, they have really gone above and beyond making me feel like part of the team.
