Situated in a lovely homely part of Northfleet, Dene Holm is a purpose built two-storey home, which specialises in dementia and provides care for up to 42 older people.
The home has an excellent range of communal facilities including several seating areas and a spacious garden with decking and allotments. Dene Holm is home to a couple of cats as well as a new addition, some chickens!
A dedicated activity coordinator at the home works with the residents to regularly update the activity calendar, events include parties, exercise sessions, days out, crafts and celebrating special events.
Each bedroom is carpeted, furnished and comes equipped with a call system. Many of the bedrooms are en-suite or close to a disabled friendly bathroom. Residents are encouraged to bring their identity to the home and decorate their room to their own taste, with their own furnishings.
Resident’s guests are welcome to join them in their room and visiting hours are not restricted, we find that our open door policy helps us to create a community within the home.
Staff at the home manage all cleaning and laundry, however, residents sometimes like to help out and carry on a part of their routine.
Dene Holm is split into three wings, one of which is a specialist for residents with dementia
