Gideon Supported Housing is a CQC registered Health and Social Care organisation.
We provide 24-hour support to a mixed-gender service with a strong focus on personal development, social inclusion and integration into the community.
We aim to provide a productive environment by promoting a rehabilitation programme designed to work with the differing needs of the individual service user.
Our Supported Housing Head Office located on a quiet residential area in Royal Borough of Greenwich, and our supported housing is in Thamesmead and within 500 Metres of a lively shopping area with many shops, cafes and amenities.
Gideon Supported Housing offers 24-hour support, 1:1 and 2:1 packages of care to individuals with a learning disability and / or a mental health diagnosis through a person-centred approach. We help people with:
- Autistic spectrum disorder.
- Attention deficit disorder.

- All types of Schizophrenia-Personality Disorder.
- All types of depression and anxiety.
- Challenging behaviour.
- Moderate learning disabilities.
- Drug and alcohol abuse.

- Low level sexualised behaviour.
The aim of the service is to provide a safe and homely environment that promotes empowerment, independence and choice, whilst enhancing our tenants’ daily living skills, enabling individuals to move on to a less supported setting. The age range of people who can access our service are 16-18 years and 18-65 years. Our service is available to people from all over the UK.
Our Semi-Independent living provides support for young people aged 16-18 years of age with low – high level support needs. We provide a high standard of accommodation and supportive environment for residents and provides various programs for young people from support for offenders with low level offences, to coaching and mentoring behavioural issues, students leaving foster care requiring basic independent living skills.
Our team provides extra support for pre-employment preparation and successful outcomes for 16 -18-year olds ready to be fully independent and contributing positively to their immediate communities. We aim to ensure young people can develop and maintain respect, self-reliance and self-care skills and enable them to make informed, age-appropriate decisions, concerning their present and future so they can achieve a successful transition into independence and adulthood.
Gideon Supported Housing also offers supported living to adults. This is primarily targeted at adults at risk between the ages of 18-65 years old. The aim of the supported accommodation is to give individuals the opportunity to live as independently as possible with help from staff when needed. Our clients make their own choices and lead their lives in the way they want to, whenever possible. They all have a tenancy agreement and are given the same rights as anyone living in their own accommodation.
Independence is so important and allows people to live in our service, where they feel safe in the knowledge that care or support is close at hand whenever the need help. The level of assistance is agreed in the care plan from the outset with each individual. So, no one client will be receiving the same type of support.

Gideon Supported Housing managed by the nominated individual and the registered manager who is highly experienced and qualified in the social and health care sector. The nominated individual and the registered manager form the formal mechanisms by which the organisation discharges its responsibility to preserve good governance principle. She determines the vision and the strategic direction for the agency.
Staff recruitment and training
Our organisation emphasises on hospitality to potential cares when looking for staff. This enables us to attract people who are passionate about giving back to society and who are willing to learn. After identifying and recruiting the right candidates, we train and empower them with the necessary skills.
We provide our staff with regular supervision and conduct regular observations to identify any training needs and ensure that their work is of the highest standard.
All our staff are DBS checked, and we are CQC registered.
