Coronavirus Info

Mo Dhachaidh Care Home in Scotland is located in the beautiful rural fishing village of Ullapool.

The home is nestled in the heart of the village, which has a host of independent shops and restaurants, as well as a GP surgery.

Mo Dhachaidh offers high quality elderly care for up to 21 frail older people. We provide 24-hour nursing care, residential care and dementia nursing. We are also able to offer short break and respite stays. Moreover, our dedicated team of qualified nurses and carers can offer a care package to suit each individual. When designing each package, we aim to enable residents to have choice and freedom in a safe and comfortable environment.

Furthermore, our care is as unique as the residents who live here. Our person-centred approach allows us to really get to know the people we care for and understand what’s right for them. There’s also a whole range of features and facilities available to help make this place feel like a home away from home.

Activities at the home

In the summer months Ullapool is vibrant and residents at Mo Dhachaidh enjoy walks to the sea front. Then, in the winter months, local school children visit the home where residents enjoy the variety of musical instruments and singing. We also have live musicians, Stella (who is a trained therapy dog). As well as our much loved dog Treacle, who visits several times a week.

Additionally, our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. Our team work together to ensure all residents interests are incorporated; ensuring everyone is able to enjoy the activities. However, we also encourage a simple chat over a cup of tea for those who prefer peace and quiet.

Moreover, all of our meals are fresh and made with seasonal ingredients that are bursting with flavour. Our food is cooked to the highest standard and we take great care to cater to the dietary requirements of everyone living here at the home.
