About the Home
This welcoming home is designed around four ‘households’ with your comfort and well-being in mind and the most modern technology to make life as easy as possible. From your own spacious bed-sitting room, with en suite facilities, to the light and bright comfortable public lounge and dining areas, you will find somewhere to relax or socialise with family and friends. Outside, the landscaped gardens provide interesting scents, shapes and colours all year round, as well as raised beds so that you can join in gardening activities if you so wish. However you want to spend your day, our friendly, professionally trained staff team is on hand, around the clock, to give you the support you need when you need it.
We will be delighted to assist you to continue with existing pastimes, as well as give you the opportunity to try something new if you’d like to do so. Our dedicated Activities Co-ordinator organises a varied programme of events around each person’s requests, hobbies and interests. Be that arts and crafts, a coffee morning or more individual pursuits, we make sure everyone is able to enjoy themselves to the fullest. There are also regular visits by outside entertainers, and the opportunity to watch a good film in our cinema.
Food and nutrition
Tasty, home cooked meals are prepared by our talented cook and kitchen team. As well as taking advantage of seasonal produce whenever possible, the freshly prepared, delicious dishes are also carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and take account of individual dietary requirements and preferences. And of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us.
The dedicated Activities Coordinators are there to make life as stimulating and varied as possible, they work with the residents to shape the schedules of activities, here is an idea of activities they might organise:
Arts and crafts
Trips to the local gardening centre
Visit from a calm and friendly dog
Board game competitions and quizzes
With so many well-being activities for body and mind, we also recognise that everyone needs some time to honour their spirit with relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges and dining areas offer an opportunity to socialise with friends and family or join in larger social events, but you will also find places to enjoy peace and quiet.
