Positioned in a peaceful residential suburb of Gillingham, Rogers House is a two-storey home, which specialises in elderly frail care for up to 41 older people.
The home has a number of homely communal areas, including spacious gardens and a lovely light conservatory.
The creative activity coordinator hosts a calendar of events from days at the beach and craft mornings to garden parties and visits to the local school. Special events are always celebrated, whether it’s a tea party for the Queen’s birthday or a resident’s birthday.
Each bedroom is carpeted and equipped with a call system and the majority of rooms feature en-suites as well as being close to a disabled-friendly bathroom. All bedrooms are furnished, however residents are encouraged to personalise their room with their own belongings, to make them feel more at home.
Resident’s guests are welcome to join them in their room and visiting hours are not restricted, we find that our open door policy helps us to create a community within the home.
Staff at the home manage all cleaning and laundry, however, residents sometimes like to help out and carry on a part of their routine.
Rogers House is also home to Rusty the cat, who provides great companionship for the residents of the home.
