Nellsar Group comprises 13 Care Homes, with accommodation for up to 700 residents. Their facilities cater for the spectrum of elderly care requirements, including:

  • Day and weekend care
  • Respite care and short breaks
  • Residential care
  • Dementia care
  • General nursing care and end of life care

The Group’s highly qualified and experienced Care Teams deliver the highest levels of care, always striving for excellence in the services they provide. They liaise regularly with doctors, district nurses, consultants and other health practitioners to ensure that each resident receives perfectly tailored person-centred care.

Resident physical and emotional well-being is at the heart of Nellsar’s ethos. Their focus is firmly on the individual and they are committed to engaging those in their care and enabling each person to lead an active and fulfilled life, based on dignity, choice, respect and independence. Nellsar staff recognise that individuality means listening to what people tell them and ensuring every day is thoroughly enjoyable.

As part of their services, Nellsar Homes have a dedicated Well-Being Team of fully-qualified holistic therapists who use nurturing techniques to soothe away stress and promote relaxation and the self-esteem of those in their care. They aim to improve quality of life through a variety of treatments including massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.

Nellsar is also one of the first Care providers to recognise the importance of nutrition for the elderly and those with dementia, with the introduction of a dedicated Nutritional Therapist and ‘Nutrition Champions’ within their Homes. Their staff and chefs understand that nutrition and hydration are absolutely key to keeping people well. They continue to develop well-balanced home-cooked meals that place focus on both quality and beneficial nutrition.
