“We’re celebrating fantastic examples of care”- Age Cymru

FOUR care homes have been shortlisted for a Welsh charity’s award for going the extra mile to enrich the lives of their residents.

The homes in the running for the Age Cymru Care Home Award are:

  • Hengoed Court Care Home in Swansea;
  • Bethshan Care Home in Newtown;
  • Llys y Seren Care Home in Port Talbot;
  • Pencoed Care Home in Saundersfoot;

“I’d like to congratulate our shortlisted nominees in the Care Home Award category in this year’s Age Cymru Awards”, said Age Cymru’s Chief Executive Ian Thomas.

“With the Age Cymru Care Home Award, we’re acknowledging the contribution of care homes in Wales to improving lives of older people by turning the spotlight on and celebrating some fantastic examples of care.”

The Age Cymru Care Home Award is sponsored by Western Power Distribution.

Age Cymru will be announcing the winner of the Care Home Award at its Annual Awards and Gala Dinner in Cardiff on Friday 24 March.

Broadcaster Jason Mohammad is hosting the Age Cymru Annual Awards and Gala Dinner which is taking place at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel.
