Home Shield Norfolk
What is Home Shield?
Home Shield Norfolk is a cross-agency referral scheme for use by any trained member of staff or volunteer who comes into contact with vulnerable people and/or their carers.
What can Home Shield help with?
Home Shield can organise a variety of help, by making referrals through a group of partner agencies for services such as befriending, security inspections, benefit checks and fire safety checks as well as providing information about social events, care alarms or avoiding scams.
How does it work?
If unmet needs are identified that the professional cannot help with, they will briefly explain about Home Shield Norfolk and then complete a referral form with you. You will be asked to sign the form to show that you have agreed to your details being referred to partner agencies, or verbally consent if you are unable to sign or are having a face-to-face assessment.
How do we contact Home Shield?
Home Shield has comprehensive webpages with access to referral forms and further information via: www.norfolk.gov.uk/homeshield. For further information, organisations can call: 01603 638455 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Members of the public cannot self-refer, but instead can call Norfolk County Council for help on: 0344 800 8020. If contact is already being made with an organisation then a Home Shield referral can be requested via that organisation.
