Residents of The Dynes Care Home in Kemsing commemorated Her Majesty’s 90th birthday last weekend, by taking a tour around Kemsing Church’s flower festival.

Accompanied by staff of the home, residents of the Nightingale Road care home made the short trip to their local church to view their floral display, created to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The arrangement, titled ’90 Glorious Years – a Tribute in Flowers to Her Majesty the Queen’, has been created by skilled flower arrangers and fills the entire church with a variety of themes from animals and places to historical moments to remember.

The residents had a wonderful afternoon taking in the various displays and reminiscing about our Queen’s past and their memories of other significant royal celebrations.

Kay Hawkins, activity coordinator at The Dynes, who organises the outings for the residents of the home, commented: “The residents had an excellent afternoon, they all loved browsing the many floral arrangements, which had been absolutely beautifully created. The dolls house was a particular favourite amongst the group!”
