Kent and Medway carers’ emergency card

The carers’ emergency card provides carers (including those under 18) with peace of mind by enabling them to access emergency assistance around the clock. The carer carries it at all times, so that it can be used as an instant source of identification in case of an accident or sudden illness.

The card doesn’t contain any personal details, just a unique registration number and the telephone number of the helpline.

In an emergency anyone can telephone the number on the card and quote the registration number. The contact centre uses this to access the carer’s pre-arranged emergency plan and puts it into action.

Visit or contact your nearest support unit for further information.
