The week long event which usually takes place in March, has been moved to 14-20 June 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic
Caroline Lecko commented “ With the pressures on health and social care staff, who we know from experience love to engage with the week to promote their great work, we felt we needed to give them some well deserved breathing space and moving the week was logical.”
Andy Jones said: “By still retaining the week in the early summer, we hope the week will provide those shoots of hope that some form of normality is on the horizon. We do plan to celebrate in 2022 the past success of the week.”
Nutrition and Hydration Week aims to highlight, promote and celebrate improvements in the provision of nutrition and hydration locally, nationally and globally. This year the week specifically encourages people to focus staff well-being, especially their nutrition and hydration.
The highlight of every Nutrition and Hydration Week is the Global Tea Party, which will take place this year, 17th June.
