Official Opening of B&M Care’s Bury Lodge Care Home

Friday 21st April saw the official opening of Bury Lodge: B&M Care’s newest care home situated on Penn Road in Knotty Green, Beaconsfield.

Officiated by Conservative Member of Parliament for Chesham and Amersham, the Right Honourable Cheryl Gillan, highlights of the occasion included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a drinks reception hosted by Home Manager Lisa Absalom, and live music from British singer-songwriter Nick Garrie.

Guests included B&M Care Chairman Bill Hughes, Group Chief Executive Ian Sloan, and Deputy Mayor of Beaconsfield Chris Owen, as well as the home’s neighbours, residents and their families.

Lisa Absalom stated: “Here at Bury Lodge, we are passionate about delivering high quality residential care and my team works tirelessly to ensure that our residents, guests, families and friends are always welcome and feel at home.”

This purpose-built care home has been developed to boast 30 en-suite bedrooms across three floors, as well as a choice of lounge and dining areas, a private landscaped garden, a chapel, an activities suite and a hair salon.

Lisa manages the home alongside Deputy Manager Michelle La Garde, and Engagement Lead Tracey Newman who champions an activity-rich schedule through a person-centred approach that aims to improve communication, mobility and quality of life.
