Seren Support Services, a specialist in delivering high-quality home care services across South Wales, has extended its reach, opening a new office in Ystradgynlais, Powys.
The care provider, which employs some 120 staff in the Neath Port Talbot area who care for hundreds of clients in their homes, has made the investment in response to increased demand for its services in that region.
The new office, located on Brecon Road in Ystradgynlais, will act as a satellite base for the Powys and mid-Wales region with some 20 staff eventually being based there. It will complement the round the clock support service provided by the company’s headquarters in Llandarcy, Neath.
Nick Pambianchi, managing director and co-owner of Seren Support Services, said this latest expansion of the business represented just the latest step in what has been a period of rapid growth for the company in the past three years.
“In the past three years we have invested heavily in the quality of the staff we employ and, as a result, the quality of the care we supply,” Pambianchi said. “That has resulted in more people wanting to use our services and we have grown steadily as a result.
“I feel we have an ethos and brand now that our staff have bought into and this represents the latest step on what has been an exciting journey for this company. But it has all resulted from us putting our clients first day in day out and doing a fantastic job for them.”
Seren Support Services is a family business, which looks after around 150 clients in the region providing care in their homes. It provides support seven days a week 24 hours a day, with its staff conducting around 400 appointments every day on average. It also owns two specialist supported living homes dedicated to caring for adults with learning disabilities.
While Seren was formed in 2011, the company’s owners have been operating in this sector for 15 years working for both local authorities and private clients. The company’s ethos is based around delivering consistently high-quality support and care to clients, and it scored 90 from a possible 100 in its most recent quality monitoring inspection conducted by Neath Port Talbot Council.
