Relatives and friends joined residents at The Grand Care Centre in West Bridgford, Nottingham, for a celebratory summer party and an afternoon of music, fun and garden games.

Making the most of the sunshine, the event took place both inside and outside of the care home.  Afternoon tea and summery nibbles were served, and the residents and their families and friends chatted to background music and songs from local jazz artist, Martyn Taylor.

More than 75 guests attended and just over £400 was raised for the activities fund.  Activities manager, Sandy Thomas, commented:  “We’ve had a fantastic response to our first summer party and it was great to see so many relatives here taking part and supporting their loved ones.”
