Barnes Lodge Care Home in Tudeley Lane, Tonbridge never run out of fun crafting ideas to do. This week they decided to decorate their own vases to brighten up their day.
Whilst the Barnes Lodge residents may not be able to venture out for their trips at the moment, our Social Activities Facilitators are always coming up with new fun things to do together. Whilst the sunshine has disappeared this week, the atmosphere has stayed bright at the care home, with residents being creative with their designs for their vases. From rainbows to lady birds, the glass vases certainly cheered up the rooms of the residents – It is safe to say the vases have come out beautifully!
Social Activities Facilitator at Barnes Lodge, Kay Hawkins commented: “The weather took a turn for the worse, so I decided to do something a bit different and get the paints out. Our residents have absolutely loved decorating their vases and putting fresh flowers in, it has really brightened up the home.”
Nicky Pett, Home Manager at Barnes Lodge commented: “It is really important, especially over the past few months, that we are keeping our residents busy and doing lots of different activities. Our social activities facilitators are great at thinking of new, fun ideas for everyone to take part in and it is such a joy to see our residents smiling and showing off their vases.”
