Acacia Homecare provides care and support to people in their own homes. If you or a loved one would prefer not to go into a care home and want to stay at home then we can provide that service to keep you there safely and comfortably. We cover Stockport and surrounding areas.

Acacia Homecare Stockport & Manchester was opened in 2018 by director Amy Stone who has vast experience in providing care at home services as well as personal experience of looking after family at home.

Our aim is to keep people comfortable at home in their own environment with familiar, consistent and well trained care assistants visiting. Staying at home is often preferable as it means people can keep their belongings around them, they can stay close to family and friends and not have to leave their familiar comfortable environment. Our visits are from 30 minutes upwards, occasionally or every day, several times a day, or right through to 24 hour support and Live In care. We can support with personal hygiene, bathing and showering, continence care, mobility, medication support, nutrition and hydration, housekeeping, companionship and social support in the community. All of our staff are fully trained, vetted, DBS checked, managed and fully insured. They are carefully chosen, then they are trained to the highest standard and they have amazing skills to support our customers in the comfort of their own homes, making each visit a treat. Our aim is always for compatibility of care assistants with our customers and continuity of care at the times chosen. Our service can be flexible for occasional respite care or longer term for everyday support. We cover the whole of Stockport and surrounding areas and can cover further afield for Live In care support.

Working for Acacia Homecare has been a truly positive and meaningful experience. As a carer, you’re not just treated as a number, you’re listened to, supported, and respected. The management team is approachable and understanding, and they genuinely care about both staff wellbeing and the quality of care provided to service users. Training and guidance are always available, and there’s a strong focus on dignity, compassion, and person-centred care. I’m proud to be part of a company that values its carers and puts real heart into what it does.

My experience with Acacia over the last 2 years has been outstanding. From the organisational support from management through to the quality of compassionate care received, they have provided myself and my mother with an invaluable service. Their can do approach and flexibility to find tailored solutions to her care needs has meant I have been able to cope with a difficult situation by providing care that allows my mother to continue living with her dementia with independence. I am truly grateful to all of the team and cannot recommend Acacia highly enough.

We have been working with Acacia Homecare Stockport & Manchester to support ML since 18th August, alongside her live-in carer, Skhue. From the very beginning, it was a truly delightful experience. My team really enjoyed working with Skhue; it was clear to see how much she cared for the client. She was professional, work-focused, and supportive to the carers, who all valued working alongside her. We would also like to acknowledge Amy, who was extremely helpful in sharing the care plans promptly, enabling us to begin the package on the same day as the assessment. Throughout, Amy kept us fully informed of any updates and maintained excellent communication. Sadly, the client has since passed away. We are grateful to the family for giving us the opportunity to support their loved one, and we truly appreciated the collaborative support from both Amy and Skhue, which made the whole experience positive and reassuring despite the difficult circumstances.

I just want to say how pleased our family are with Acacia Stockport. After my elderly father was discharged from hospital, he was cared for initially by a social services package which turned out to be a nightmare for him and my mum. They never knew when the staff would turn up or who it would be. The standard of care was poor, which we all found very stressful and upsetting. After such bad experience we were very wary when we decided to look at alternative care agencies but we were very fortunate to be recommended Acacia Stockport. From the very start Amy and Eileen (who manage the agency) were professional and very understanding of our situation and went out of their way to help us out at very short notice. They assured us the level of care my father would receive would be very different and it certainly has been! What a breathe of fresh air the staff are, the carers are experienced, kind, understanding and extremely patient. Dad is always spoken to with respect, good humour and he looks forward to their visits. Acacia try to keep to the same small group of staff where possible and the rota is sent out in advance which my dad loves as he knows who to expect and when. Communication with Amy and Eileen has also been great, with any queries we raise receiving a timely response and any small issues are smoothed out quickly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Amy delivers 1st class care and support with trust & integrity. And if you ever get to hear her 'back-story' about why she works in the 'care environment' and subsequently set up her own business you will understand her inner passion & motivation for helping people. And this ethos is also true of the Team who work for her, Amy only employs people with the same values and principles as herself, so you can be assured of the very best service for you or others you know.
