FSC-Certified Printing at Care Choices
At Care Choices, we’re proud to say that all our publications are printed on paper that is FSC-certified, sourced exclusively from FSC Mix or FSC recycled stocks. We’re not just about great print quality, we’re committed to sustainability.
FSC-certified means that our paper comes from sustainable forests that are shielded from destructive logging practices. It also protects local forest communities, helps protect endangered species and ensures fair wages for all workers.
Look out for the FSC logo on all Care Choices publications.
Digital publications
Whilst we still publish in print to ensure vital information is accessible to those who may be digitally excluded, we do also provide all of our publications as eBooks or PDFs and direct to these digital publications whenever possible.
Transportation of goods
Our elected print supplier transport and deliver our publications using electric vehicles wherever possible and also use overnight grouped transport to reduce emissions.
Green website hosting
All Care Choices’ websites use green hosting, which ensures our websites are hosted on servers that avoid contributing to climate change. Our hosts use the Green Web Foundation’s sustainability checks.
Renewable energy and energy reducing measures
The Care Choices offices use solar energy from roof panels, reducing the need for other energy sources that have a negative impact on the environment. We operate a ‘shut down’ policy which all employees adhere to reduce consumption whenever possible.
Electric charging points
The office premises hosts EV charging points to encourage the switch to electric vehicles.
Recycling and waste reduction
Cardboard, paper and plastic waste is recycled in the provided recycling bins and collected frequently by a reputable waste management provider.
Our employees are encouraged to operate in a paperless office wherever possible to reduce paper and print office waste. If printing is required, printers are automatically set to double sided printing to reduce paper waste.
Printer cartridges are collected and recycled regularly.

Care Choices continually strives to use suppliers with robust environmental policies and a shared value for a sustainable future. We operate a responsible procurement policy to ensure our suppliers the required standards.
Green thinking
Care Choices’ employees are encouraged to ‘think green’. We operate a hybrid working scheme to reduce commutes to the office and car sharing is encouraged if possible. Schemes such as ‘Too Good to Go’ are promoted and we welcome new ideas on how we can continue to improve our sustainability and environmental practices at all times.
