By Your Side Homecare supports carers and people who need a little help to maintain their independent living.

Located in Hemel Hempstead, the caring team can offer different levels of support such as Companionship Calls to Live-in Care.

At By Your Side Homecare we offer a support tool for carers looking after loved ones or friends. This is called Companionship Calls. If you are regularly supporting a loved one you might need to take some time out. By Your Side can help you with this.

Our aim is to enable carers to have a life of their own, alongside their caring responsibilities. So if you need some help you on a regular basis, or just from time to time, we can help.

By Your Side also offer a Live-In Support service. This means we would provide a live in carer that stays with an individual in their own home. This can be an affordable alternative to a residential care home. It can allow your loved one to remain in their own home for as long as possible.

This service provides them with companionship and friendship, and keeps them safe in their own home. We also offer reassurance to loved ones letting you know that your family member or loved one is being cared for as if you were there yourself.

By Your Side Ltd was set up in November 2015 by Sarah Joubert.

Sarah has worked in the care industry for several years and decided to set up By Your Side after developing skills throughout the sector. After caring for her mother who suffered from a terminal cancerous brain tumour, Sarah wanted to use her experience to help others.

By Your Side – Continuity Plan regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Current as of 11th May 2020

With the uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus (Covid-19), we are issuing our business continuity plan to cover all possible scenarios that we may face as a nation in the coming weeks and months. We would like to reassure our customers, their families and our staff that we have measures in place in order to continue to provide the best possible levels of customer support and to minimise any disruption during these uncertain times.

The health and safety or our customers and employees is of the utmost importance, and we continue to monitor both Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) along with the Care Hub which include daily updates.

What we are doing:

  • Cancelling all non-essential visits to our offices and customers
  • We will not be carrying out spot-check or carrying out visits that can be prostponed
  • We are monitoring the health and well-being of all staff and customers and those in contact with them
  • We are updating the website and have a dedicated page to Covid-19. We are also sending emails regularly to keep everyone informed.
  • We are enforcing the 7 or 14 day self-isolation where there are any suspicions of symptoms
  • We are making financial plans to extend holiday pay owed for staff to carry over until June to use in times where they may need time of to support children or family members
  • Ensuring that the use of PPE is distributed to the most important cases
  • Testing all staff starting 17th April 2020 and on going as symptoms arise
  • We are updating everyone weekly with the results of testing and will notify customers and staff when team members have been affected and tested clear.
  • We are reviewing all non essential visits and where we can, we will make support adjustments and we will discuss with those it may effect before it comes into action.
  • All staff have been issued a full face guard as part of their personal PPE

The future and restrictions that may be put upon us are unknown and will change daily. We will endeavour to keep planning current and up to date as things develop.

What we are preparing to do:

  • We are not planning to cancel any visits at this time
  • Source more PPE such as gloves and aprons
