Our Team

Catherine Benning

Manager

As an experienced Mental Health Nurse and Community Psychiatric Nurse, I have cultivated a diverse range of transferrable skills that contribute to my proficiency in managing an Adult Social Care company. With a strong background in assessment and team management, I excel in coordinating and overseeing the provision of high-quality care to individuals in need. My expertise extends to comprehensive care planning, ensuring that each client receives personalised attention and support. In addition, my adeptness in record-keeping and documentation allows me to maintain accurate and thorough records, enabling effective communication and continuity of care within the care setting. I possess extensive knowledge and experience in the safe administration of medication, adhering to established protocols and prioritising the well-being and safety of our clients. Complementing my practical skills, I have engaged in research-based and reflective-based practice, keeping abreast of current developments and implementing evidence-based interventions to enhance the quality of care provided. Furthermore, my academic achievements include accreditation as a Best Interests Assessor from Teesside University, which I obtained in 2018. This qualification reflects my dedication to upholding ethical standards and ensuring the rights and welfare of vulnerable individuals. Moreover, I possess fluency in multiple languages, including German, French, Pidgin English, and Akum, a local Cameroonian language. This linguistic proficiency enables me to effectively communicate and engage with residents from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for our clients and all the multi-disciplinary team. In summary, as a Manager, having gone through my own first-hand experience of caring for individuals within their home environment, I realise the importance of finding someone with the compassion and skill level to care for a loved one. I want to change the approach to the care system by putting people first. I want to give families the comfort of knowing that they will receive the best care available to them.
