Because, life is better at home.

There are many benefits to opting for home care rather than a care home. But by choosing Helping Hands Barnet, there is one real, unique difference: bespoke home care from a carer who’s completely dedicated to you or your loved one.

Helping Hands is a fully managed care provider, this means your care is completely regulated by the CQC and CIW, it is managed by a local team, all costs are included, and we will provide a replacement carer if your usual carer is ill or unsuitable. We also provide our carers with fantastic employee benefits, such as holiday pay and a pension package, to ensure that we retain the very best carers to look after you or your loved one.

We’ve been caring for people in their own homes in Barnet for three decades. Whether you need visiting care a few times a week or round-the-clock live in care, there are many benefits to opting for a home care service over a care home. Here are just a handful:

  • Stay in the comfort of your home, with nurse-led support if needed
  • Personal, one-to-one attention from your chosen carer
  • Keep your existing lifestyle and daily routines
  • Choose what you eat and when you eat
  • Pets can stay with you at home

From just 30 minutes per week through to round-the-clock live-in care, our friendly and professional carers cover areas in & around Barnet such as Finchley, Hadley Wood, Potters Bar, Palmers Green, Southgate, Whetstone, and more.

We are so very grateful for the help my father had from the superb carer team (and organising office team) at Helping Hands. All were rapidly responsive to my father’s changing needs and we have had complete confidence in them all. Dad really enjoyed his interactions with his care team, and his main carer was constantly thinking of brilliant additional things to keep him comfortable, safe and supported. We were so impressed by the warmth and compassion Dad received from his team.

I first needed Helping Hands when my 76 year old husband became ill and I felt he was unsafe at home while I was at work. In no time at all care was arranged , fast , efficient and very professional. He was admitted to hospital 2 days later , on his discharge Helping Hands were there again immediately to help. After 6 weeks , the carers have got him up , walking and eating , they have helped him get his independence back , and have been an invaluable source of information for me in this alien environment. So , a very good news story , I no longer need Helping Hands . I cannot recommend the Team enough for the standard of their care and genuine warmth. Helping Hands reacted very quickly to my need , are incredibly flexible , even provided an over night carer at short notice when I just had to get a night away.

Helping Hands have been caring for my mother who has dementia for two years. All of their carers have provided an excellent level of care. They have been reliable, respectful and adapted to the many challenges posed by dementia care. We have also been impressed by a very efficient management team who are always quick to communicate by phone and email responding promptly to any changes of circumstances. Elinor

Helping Hands have been providing care for my mum since August 2018. I have been impressed by the carers dedication and commitment to giving my mum the support she needs to have a more productive and enjoyable day. Particular thanks to Patricia who has been the most regular carer and is very thoughtful, and to Elias who makes her laugh.

Helping Hands are genuinely one of the best care company’s there is. I have been with the Barnet Branch for quite some time and cannot fault them. They are professional, caring, polite, friendly and approachable. Every Care Assistant I have met has been wonderful. No complaints at all.
