We understand how important it is for you to remain independent in the comfort of your own home and receive support from someone you can trust, who will care about you and your loved ones. Our services are tailor-made to each client, whether we provide companionship, home help services or assist you with personal care needs.

Clare has a background in; health and well-being, counselling, support, events management and education. Her role is to support the Business Owners, manage the office team and ensure the efficient running of the business on a day-to-day basis. Her passion is providing excellent, high-quality, person-centred support and care for clients and staff.

Dr Mark Hunt - Owner

Mark is Co-Director with Rebecca and has an impressive background as a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for over 25 years. Together they run the Yeovil and Taunton and West Somerset Franchises. Mark believes that it is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we can then be equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in his clinical practice and reflects on our ethos at Home Instead. His focus is on providing care that he would be happy for his Mum and Dad to enjoy.

Dr Rebecca Gray - Owner

Rebecca is a qualified GP working in South Somerset. She established the Yeovil office with her late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. She is Co-Director with Mark. Rebecca very much hopes to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in both Somerset & Dorset.

Five stars would never be enough to rate this company. From the first telephone call we as a family felt that our father's needs would be met. Initially bedtime calls which were executed on time and with care from all the girls, as his health deteriorated we added night time care. Sitting with Dad and calling the district nurse when needed was a reassuring comfort. Then we elected for 24/7 care which was arranged in exceptionally quick time causing us very little stress. Dad passed away with dignity thanks to all the staff at Home Instead. It would be wrong to single any one out as the team were AMAZING

Posting as a close relative not as a user. Home Instead Taunton continue to listen closely to what is needed, take a flexible approach to care delivery and offer care of high quality. Home Instead care professionals and management are all individuals of course, but have a shared and high level of care expertise. Ultimately that makes the difference and is greatly appreciated.

Excellent service and very responsive. Home Instead feels like an extension of our family. I feel happy and at peace knowing my Mum is getting amazing daily care. I have also noticed a huge improvement in her morale and overall health. It means that when I visit her I can focus on making happy memories versus trying to sort her basic needs.

Having finally got my mum to accept a carer going in once a week, things deteriorated quickly with her health, but Home Instead were absolutely brilliant at every stage, putting extra care in quickly at short notice, and souring a care home when mum needed respite when she could not be looked after safely at home. The managers kept us informed at every stage about everything, the app gave us security with detailed info on every care visit, it took so much stress away from us, given that we were 2 hours away. The carers are now providing companionship in the care home as Mum will probably not now be going home, but knowing she is getting such personal one to one support with people she now knows (and trusts) is such a source of comfort for us. Could not recommend Home Instead more.

I can't say enough positive things about the team at Home Instead. Their compassionate care and unwavering support made such a difference during the last few months of my dad's life. They allowed him to stay comfortably and happily in his own home, surrounded by familiar faces and memories, which meant the world to him and to our family. The caregivers were not only professional but truly kind-hearted, going above and beyond to ensure his dignity, comfort, and happiness. We are deeply grateful for the peace of mind they provided during such a challenging time. Home Instead made an incredibly difficult situation much more bearable, and for that, we will always be thankful.
