Our Team

Alex Teixeria

Manager

Coming from Portugal, a country renowned for its care for the elderly, Alex found their calling in the UK. Their career journey spans from Scotland to London, beginning as a Registered Nurse at Colinton Care Home in Edinburgh and later at Uplands Care Home in Streatham. Now, as Home Manager at Kingston, they make a positive impact on residents and the team. Alex's key to success is getting to know residents and the team, and fostering happiness. They maintain an open-door policy and actively assist the team, frequently seen in uniform. Beyond work, they love fashion, shopping, and experimenting with new looks. Their proudest achievement outside work is completing a nursing degree while juggling a part-time job. Alex emphasises the importance of a caring "family" environment in care homes. Their advice for those seeking the right care home is to follow their instincts and look for inclusion and support in the home's atmosphere, whether as a resident, team member, or family.

My Mum has lived at Kingston Care Home for last 3 months . It is a really friendly, clean home and the care Mum received consistently a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble and Mum’s needs were always taken into consideration and regularly reviewed. Thank you to all the staff; management, nurses, carers, chefs, housekeeping and support staff for doing a fantastic job!

This place is amazing! The main receptionist (Wendy) is extremely friendly and will do all she can to help you. Alex is always lifting moods with his vibrant hair and personality and Monica is lovely and welcoming too. The care staff are wonderful and I hear nothing but good things about them from people that have received their care. I highly recommend this place if you wish for your loved ones to be in good hands.
