Meyer House has 28 en suite single bedrooms, a large lounge area, a bright and airy dining room, onsite hair salon and conservatory which leads out to a peaceful courtyard garden. Lounges and communal areas are pleasantly furnished with plenty of natural light and quiet areas for rest and reading.

The Home’s care team understands the values of an active lifestyle and provide a varied and tailored programme of activities. All interests and hobbies are encouraged, from baking and karaoke, to arts and crafts and traditional games. They also welcome entertainers, petting zoos, magicians, pantomimes and local musicians.

One of the first care providers to champion the importance of nutrition for the elderly and those with dementia, Nellsar employ a Nutrition and Wellness Manager for their Homes. Meyer House acknowledges that nutrition and hydration are an integral part of good health and well-being and delivers well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks to residents every day. All residents are offered a choice of food, to ensure all types of preferences and diets are catered for.

Care at Meyer House is provided by highly-skilled care staff who all have a unique part
to play in supporting residents and offering person-centred care.

They also use bespoke dementia care technology ‘interactiveMe’ as a way of further personalising their residents’ care, and as a tool for connecting individuals with their family and care staff around them. This personalised-online profile offers a wonderful tool for reminiscence too.

Meyer House also benefits from a well-being team of fully-qualified holistic therapists who use nurturing touch, complementary therapies and relaxing treatments to improve residents’ quality of life and sense of well-being.
