Residential and Dementia Care in Wolverhampton. Situated in the quiet suburb of Fallings Park, on Prestwood Road, Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton is firmly established within the local community having served Wolverhampton for over seven years. It offers compassionate residential and dementia care, tailored to individual requirements.

The focal point of the building is its rotunda, which has been decorated with art designed and made by local students working with the renowned sculptor Michael Scheuermann. Inside there are plenty of lounges for socialising or joining in with the lively activities schedule, or just sitting quietly if preferred.

All our bedrooms are spacious, come with walk-in, en-suite showers, have a DVD player and flat screen TV. Residents are free to personalise them as they wish, and a housekeeper keeps everything spick and span. Many of the ground floor rooms have direct access to the patio area and there is also a balcony with seating leading off the upper floor. Our home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.

Keeping in touch is very important, so we have free Wi-Fi access throughout the building, available to all visitors and residents at our retirement home. Our own dedicated Facebook page keeps relatives in touch with activities and scheduled events at our care home, and we have been known to teach residents how to Skype when distance divides! We like to promote resident involvement in steering home life to develop a sense of shared ownership of our care home. Friends and families are encouraged to pay their part and are free to visit whenever they want. They are particularly welcome to involve themselves with residents who live with dementia and help the staff to create their life stories, as the more we learn, the more effective we can be.

There is no shortage of things to do, we have full programme of activities to suit all tastes. We think that keeping mind and body active in the company of others means that adapting to a new way of life and making new friends is that much easier.

New Cross is a lovely care home My dad has dementia, he’s a little challenging as he’s not very sociable, but he’s a kind soul really. I have to say a care home is not my dad’s cup of tea, so it was difficult to find a suitable place, we looked at many. New Cross was perfect, all nicely decorated, homely rooms, light and airy corridors to stroll, lots of activities and outings, gardens etc! It’s like a hotel ! Lovely staff, kind and friendly! I’m kept informed of anything concerning my dad, they are very considerate to my family and I. They do their best to help my dad and try to get him involved, he has good medical care, his room is very clean , he has nice meals, snacks etc. overall it’s a fantastic place, I feel so pleased to know my dad is in safe hands Jenna and her staff all do a fabulous job. I very much recommend New Cross care home Thanks so much x

Newcross Care Home is by far the best care home I have ever visited. From the moment you walk in the home is fresh, clean & has a lovely ambiance feeling about it, the staff are always friendly & very approachable & go above and beyond to do anything for you. You are always welcomed when you walk into the home with a lovely greeting from the reception staff & there’s always Coffee & Cake on hand. The home has a wide range of activities & outside entertainment so the residents are never stuck for something to do. The Manager always has time for the staff & especially the residents. The residents rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day by the amazing cleaning staff & the meals are all well presented & proper home cooked food, highly recommended.

My Mom and her husband are currently living at the home, previously having a poor care package at home and secluded from the outside but since being here they have thrived. My mom's well being has perked up and her husband has since grown strength with promoting his independence. My mind is at ease and now each visit is lovely. The home manager was very welcoming and lovely presenting, plus we loved the newsletter on reception.

The staff are all friendly and helpful to relatives and really care about the residents. The home itself is kept extremely clean and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is varied and very well presented and the dining room is well laid out. There is a variety of lounges and seating areas for the residents and visitors to use. I would highly recommend this home. I believe that the staff treat all the residents with the same care, dignity and respect that you would wish for your relative. It is never an easy decision to make but I am content that Newcross offers the highest level of care and I am glad we chose this home for my Mother.
