Welcome to Nightingale Nursing & Care Home, a warm and homely care home offering residential and dementia care for the elderly, in the village of Edwinstowe near Mansfield. Here at Nightingale, we are proud to hold a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), upholding the highest standards of individual, person-centred care for all our residents.

 

We provide both short-term and long-term nursing and residential care for the elderly and those living with dementia. We also provide respite care for elderly people to give their carers a break. Our home offers a range of personalised care services to meet the unique needs of individuals with conditions such as Parkinsonism, Dementia, Hearing and Sight Impairment and those requiring End of Life Care.

 

We are situated in the lovely village of Edwinstowe, seven miles from the town of Mansfield. Nightingale Care Home is a modern purpose-built property with a calm and cosy atmosphere that ensures residents feel truly at home with us. Room options include single rooms, all with ensuite facilities, and some including wet room facilities, allowing for privacy and convenience. All rooms feature Wi-Fi access, television points and 24-hour call facilities. All furniture and furnishings are provided, while we encourage residents to bring items to personalise their room and create a home-from-home. Choosing Nightingale means choosing peace of mind for yourself and your loved ones. Our dedicated team are committed to providing the highest standard of care, ensuring every resident continues to lead a fulfilling and dignified life. Nightingale is led by experience Home Manager, Tara Spencer. Tara qualified as a registered nurse in 2010 and has since worked across a range of settings, including the NHS, specialist dementia nursing homes, and both in care and nursing homes.

Tara discovered her passion for dementia care in 2014 when she began working in her first care home in Nottinghamshire and has never looked back. In 2022, Tara began managing her first specialist dementia nursing home, a role that she is deeply passionate about. Tara is committed to empowering and leading her team to deliver outstanding, person‑centred care.
