Sutton Lodge Residential Home is a 39 bedded purpose built home that opened in 1994. Since that time the Ashmere site has expanded greatly with the additions of Sutton Manor and Sutton Court and our fabulous onsite pub, tea room and nail and prosecco bar.
Sutton Lodge is a purpose built specialist dementia home and is situated near the Centre of Sutton in Ashfield making it ideal for local amenities. The home specialises in dementia care along with caring for the physically disabled offering long and short term care as well as facilities to provide day care should you require. Sutton Lodge also has its own sensory room and frequently hosts a film night for residents, relatives and friends with the built in home cinema. This is in addition to the cheese and wine and takeaway evenings.
Staff have a great deal of experience in maintaining a calm and pleasing environment which is beneficial to good mental health, with up to thirty-nine residents all receiving a personal service. Activities play a big part in the home and on offer there are a wide range of events catering to each individual’s needs. Some examples include: baking, arts & crafts, gardening, exercise, life skills and pet care. Other specialist therapies are also available. These can include reminiscence therapy, doll therapy and complimentary therapies.
