The home provides 24-hour nursing care for older people, alongside expert care for those living with dementia. Care is also available for younger adults who require neuro rehabilitation.
Hawthorns Care Centre provides a range of bespoke care that promotes independence. Alongside the excellent care and support available, residents benefit from a wealth of facilities.
Internally, there are communal spaces including TV room and quiet lounge. Bedrooms feature en-suite facilities. Wifi is also available. Residents can take advantage of activity and exercise classes, additionally, there are trips out and visiting entertainers to the home. Outside, The Hawthorns has lovely grounds.
A consultant psychiatrist regularly visits the ‘Memory Lane Community’, similarly, a consultant neurologist visits the neurological rehabilitation unit. The home also has a music therapist, whose sessions bring fun and laughter to the home, and reach out to people who may otherwise struggle to communicate.
