This is Homecare is an independent, founder-led home care agency based in South Buckinghamshire, providing warm, reliable and genuinely person-centred care to adults in their own homes.

We support people to live safely and comfortably at home by focusing on what matters to them as individuals — their routines, preferences, strengths and independence — rather than simply their age or diagnosis.

Founded by a registered Social Worker with extensive experience in Adult Social Care, This is Homecare was created in response to a growing need for a more personal, relationship-led approach to care. We understand how overwhelming it can feel when care is needed and aim to provide reassurance, continuity and practical support.

Our carers are carefully recruited, trained and supported to reflect our strong values, and we work closely with families to build trusting, respectful relationships.

We provide home care across Chesham, Amersham, The Chalfonts, Flaunden, Chorleywood and local surrounding areas, and can often support new care packages, including hospital discharge, within 24–48 hours.

Suliyat O'Balogun

Manager

Suliyat is the founder and registered manager of This is Homecare. She has worked with adults in health and social care since 2014, supporting people with a wide range of needs, including older adults, people with learning disabilities, and those facing complex life changes.

Suliyat is a qualified social worker and has experience managing an adult social work team, as well as working directly as a support worker. This combination means she understands both the practical day-to-day realities of care and the importance of dignity, safety and emotional wellbeing. She has a strong interest in human rights and equality, shaped by her academic background and earlier volunteering with the Refugee Council. These values are central to how This is Homecare supports people and works with families. Suliyat founded This is Homecare to offer a more personal, calm and relationship-led approach to care, and remains closely involved to ensure people feel listened to, respected and supported in their own homes.
