​VIP Day Centre

 

VIP Day Centre is an award-winning day centre offering person-centred support for adults living with all types of dementia, sensory impairments or disabilities, as well as adults who feel lonely or socially isolated.

 

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy meaningful activities, make choices and spend time with others in a welcoming environment. Our team gets to know each member’s interests, abilities and routines so they can take part in the day in a way that feels right for them. Members can choose when they attend during our opening hours.

There is a wide range of activities to enjoy, including arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, games and quizzes, pool, cooking, gardening, chair-based exercise and relaxation sessions. Some members enjoy joining group activities, while others prefer a conversation, a familiar pastime or time to build friendships at their own pace. Meals and refreshments are available during the day.

Our service also offers valuable respite for family members and carers. Whether you need a few hours to rest, attend appointments or go to work, you can have peace of mind knowing your loved one is supported and has opportunities to enjoy their day.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

Please contact us to discuss your needs, arrange a visit or ask about places. You can also ask your social worker whether funding is available for day centre support.

VIP has provided a safe, welcoming and fun environment for my father who now visits 4 days a week. It took him a little time to settle initially due to separation anxiety but the staff were both patient and reassuring. The transformation in his general mood has been amazing, and my mother, is now able to regain a little quality time for herself as full time round the clock caregivers need a break too! Thank you VIP, keep up the good work, your support is invaluable.

Due to the amazing skill of all the staff, my husband has been able to settle and feel safe at VIP Redditch and is now much happier in himself than he was before being in such good company and having lots of fun every day. It is a tremendous relief to me knowing he is settled and extremely well cared for, a complete life saver!

The staff engage with the service users to make them feel comfortable and confident, they do daily activities which give the service users things to do and enjoyment. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone who has family members that would benefit from this social interaction which benefits them intellectually due to them activities which they do, like bingo and yatzee 😃
