The Old Downs Residential Care Centre is a beautiful period building originating in the 1800’s.

The Home offers outstanding residential care to elderly people with a diagnosis of Dementia.

While the Home boasts modern amenities, it retains many of its original features and characters.

The Home offers a stimulating yet calming environment to match the needs of the residents. There are 41 single rooms – some with en-suite facilities. Other amenities include one dining room, a large conservatory area with additional dining facilities, three lounges on the ground level, two lounges on the first floor, an onsite Hair Salon, a secure coffee terrace and beautiful, secure gardens.

The Old Downs is staffed by a dedicated and highly skilled team of carers. Activities staff also work hard to ensure there is something for everyone and all are invited to join in. Residents also enjoy celebrating special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Regardless of capability, they offer something for everyone – even if it’s just a chat and holding hands – the focus is on interaction at all levels.
