Eglantine Villa Care Home was the first Bupa care home to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC in January 2017.

Eglantine Villa, once a private residence, is a carefully converted residential and nursing home offering convalescence, respite, palliative, Parkinson’s and residential dementia care.

The stunning Eglantine Villa is a converted private residence that’s been converted and modernised to a very high standard. It offers a delightful 50-room residential and nursing home set in three-and-a-half acres of beautiful gardens.

The home is made up of two separate buildings (Jasmine Lodge and Lavender Cottage) that provide very specialist care. Both have the benefit of access to the glorious landscaped gardens – complete with conservatory and patio area.

A homely interior is enhanced by the use of a sensory room, social activity room, conservatory and large secure gardens. En-suite bedrooms are well-equipped to ensure residents feel safe and comfortable.

Balanced meals can be enjoyed in the dining room overlooking the gardens, or in the privacy of people’s own rooms. There are lighter alternatives available throughout the day and birthdays are celebrated with a personalised cake.

Eglantine Villa know that popular activities and stimulating interactions are a vital part of good care. It can also be a good opportunity for friends and family to spend time with residents. Having something interesting going on every day is very important for a resident’s general wellbeing, as it helps to keep their minds active and improves their appetite.

Friends and family are welcome to participate in any or all of the activities at any time. There is an on-site activity coordinator who organises a wide variety of activities for residents to enjoy, whatever their abilities. There are seasonally themed monthly events as well as regular activities such as music and movement, film shows, and arts and crafts sessions. The home also looks forward to local community and charity events.

The home is proud to be a part of the ‘Research Ready Care Home Network’ Working to improve the quality of life, health, care and treatment of residents.
